Curtin University gives you a truly global education. Based in Perth, Western Australia, Curtin University has additional campuses in Malaysia and Singapore, and partnerships with institutions in 20 countries.
Curtin’s main campus and Western Australia’s largest and most multicultural university, Curtin is home to more bright minds. Over 50,000 students from more than 125 countries are studying one of our internationally recognised degrees. Curtin Bentley is also home to six of CBS’ Schools.
The suburb of Bentley, located about six kilometres south-east of Perth City or about 15 minutes’ drive, it is home to Curtin’s main campus. In close proximity to everything Perth has to offer, it boasts 116 hectares of bold architecture nestled amongst beautiful landscaped gardens. With thousands of students filling the campus grounds every day of the semester, there’s a real vibrancy to the place.
Over the past decade the campus has undergone some major changes, with a variety of stunning modern buildings now interspersed with the original 1960s architecture.
The Curtin Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) is located at both Curtin’s Bentley Campus and in the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.
The Kalgoorlie campus with its new library, laboratories and construction of new student accommodation underway provides a modern innovative learning experience. Interaction with industry, in the form of field trips, guest industry lecturers, Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, Toast Masters, etc. help enable a smooth transition from university to work.
The Kalgoorlie Campus is located next to the Central Business District with student housing a short walk away provides a focused living and campus atmosphere. A strong student guild located in the guild building, built with industry donations, is a focus of student activity such as the renowned WASM Wombats mining team.
In 1999, the Sarawak State Government invited Curtin to establish a university in Miri, Sarawak on the northwest coast of East Malaysia. This campus was the first foreign university campus to be set up on the island of Borneo; a reflection of our reputation for excellence in South-East Asia.
Every aspect of Miri’s academic programs, including course materials and examinations, is identical to the courses offered at our main campus. However, not all courses at our main campus in Bentley are available in Miri.
As a city, Miri boasts modern infrastructure, excellent hotels and restaurants, comprehensive local and international banking facilities, multi-storey shopping malls as well as traditional stores and simpler craft and produce markets selling local specialties. Originally an oil town, Miri is now more renowned for its natural attractions and is becoming increasingly popular as an adventure/ecotourism destination. Miri enjoys warm equatorial weather with plenty of sunshine all year round.
Curtin has been delivering its programs in Singapore since 1986. In 2008, Curtin took its relationship with Singapore one step further when we inaugurated our new Curtin Singapore campus. The S$20 million campus is located in the heart of Singapore and offers our students a conducive and safe study environment. Curtin Singapore gives students access to a flexible, superb education in one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. Students at Curtin Singapore enjoy first-class facilities, highly qualified staff, innovative teaching methods, as well as close links with industry practitioners.
Every aspect of Singapore’s academic programs, including course materials and examinations, is identical to the courses offered in the main campus. However, not all courses offered in Bentley are available in Singapore.
