Exploring geology in Xian

In June 2014, ten of Curtin University’s Science and Engineering students attended Northwest University, Xian for a two week Summer Camp program called Exploring geology in Xian.

The program focused on sustainability, geology and China, and was a valuable learning experience for the students, demonstrating the benefits of a Study Abroad program.

“I would recommend such programs to anybody in the future, as I feel the experience was fun and extremely valuable to both my understanding of the Chinese culture and my professional development. I met great people along the way and I look forward to keeping in touch with them in the future.”

William Harrison Foskett, Chemical Engineering student.

“Overall the trip was amazing. It has made me more appreciative, open and aware of cultures different to my own and has sparked a drive in me to experience more. It has definitely motivated me in my final semester at Curtin University before I enter the work force and to seize any opportunity that comes my way to travel.”
