Chemical engineering involves finding the best sequence of chemical and physical processing operations, and the right operating conditions, to convert raw materials into higher-value products.
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Curtin University is internationally respected and recognised for its study programs and research.
The department provides both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework and research (MEng and PhD) degrees in Chemical Engineering, double degree programs with Applied Chemistry, Extractive Metallurgy, and commerce, as well as industrial short courses in targeted areas. Research activities have grown substantially over the past 25 years and continue to with participation from industry.
